General
Welcome! To request boarding, grooming, or daycare services, please create an account. Ensure your dog’s vaccinations are up-to-date, including Bordetella within the last six months, rabies, and distemper records. We look forward to caring for your furry friend at Friendly Paws Pet Resort!
Yes. To ensure the well-being of all pets at Friendly Paws Littles, we have mandatory vaccine requirements. These include vaccinations for rabies, distemper, and six-month bordetella for dogs, and rabies and FVRCP for cats.
Providing an additional layer of protection is crucial. We cannot control what dogs may bring into our kennel from the outside, so maintaining a six-month Bordetella schedule adds an extra safeguard for the well-being of all pets in our care. For more information on kennel cough, and the Bordetella vaccination and its efficacy, please review the article available at https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments/riney-canine-health-center/canine-health-information/risks-kennel-cough.
Absolutely! Feel free to reach out to us, and we’ll be happy to coordinate a visit at a convenient time. This way, we can ensure a more personalized experience and address any inquiries you might have.
Daycare
Whether it’s your dog’s first boarding experience or their introduction to our doggy daycare, we conduct an assessment for every pup before introducing them to the group. Recognizing that every dog is unique, we rely on their body language to gauge their readiness and comfort levels. No separate temperament test appointment is needed, as this assessment is conducted during their first visit.
Congratulations on your new puppy! We’re excited to help with their socialization. To enroll in daycare, your puppy must have up-to-date Bordetella (administered every six months) and rabies vaccinations, along with all completed rounds of distemper.
Our daycare policy is designed to accommodate all dogs up to one year of age. Unaltered females can participate up to one year of age or until their first heat cycle. Male dogs can continue with daycare unless they exhibit excessive humping or aggressive behavior. However, for males older than one year, participation is subject to Friendly Paws’ discretion.
Absolutely! Dogs with limited socialization experience are more than welcome at our daycare. During their first visit, we’ll carefully assess their behavior to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for both your dog and our other guests.
In the event of inclement weather, we have your pup covered! At Friendly Paws Littles we have both indoor and outdoor play areas. If the weather turns unfavorable, we simply move the fun indoors, ensuring that your pet can still enjoy playtime and exercise in a safe and comfortable environment. Your pet’s well-being and enjoyment are our top priorities, regardless of the weather conditions.
To prevent resource guarding and potential altercations, we don’t allow toys in the play yards.
Puppies aged up to six months can enjoy their owner-provided lunches free of charge. For dogs six months and older, there is a nominal daycare lunch fee of $5.00.
Boarding
Absolutely! Booking a boarding stay is easy through our website. Simply submit your request online, and we’ll take care of the rest. To secure your reservation, please note that a 20% deposit will be charged to your card on file. For added convenience, we’ll also send you email updates on the status of your reservation.
To make your pet’s stay at Friendly Paws as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, you may want to bring along a cozy blanket or pillow for added comfort, along with their favorite treats and toys for entertainment. For our convenience, we kindly request that you pack their meals in separate containers for each feeding. Please remember to include any necessary medication. Our top priority is ensuring your pet’s happiness and comfort throughout their stay!
Unfortunately, due to limited storage space, especially during peak seasons, we are unable to accommodate full bags. We request that you bring your dog’s food in a sealed, airtight container.
We don’t permit any kind of rawhide due to the potential choking risk, especially when your pup is left unattended in their kennel space. Ensuring your pet’s safety and well-being is our utmost priority.
We appreciate your consideration for your dog’s comfort. However, we advise against bringing beds as they may not fit into our washer for cleaning. Blankets are welcome, and it’s worth noting that we do provide dog-friendly cots for your pet’s relaxation.
Yes, we do administer medication to pets as needed. To facilitate this, we kindly request that you complete a medication form upon check-in. Please ensure that the medication is in its original veterinarian-issued container with clear instructions. Our trained staff will then ensure your pet receives their medication as prescribed.
At Friendly Paws Littles, we strive to accommodate your needs to the best of our abilities. While we typically operate within our normal boarding hours, we understand that special circumstances may arise. Dropping off or picking up your pet outside of our regular hours cannot be guaranteed. Please reach out to us in advance to discuss your specific requirements, and we will do our utmost to assist you whenever possible.
The duration of your dog’s outdoor time depends on their participation in group play. For those engaging in group activities, the majority of their day (weather permitting) will be spent outside. For dogs not participating in group play, we follow a rotation system to ensure they get outdoor playtime as well. These “no group play” dogs are taken outside every hour, allowing them to enjoy the fresh air and exercise on a regular basis.
To make any updates or changes to your dog’s boarding stay, please get in touch with the Friendly Paws staff. You can reach us at 412-455-5533 or via email at info@friendlypawslittles.com. Keep in mind that any changes are subject to availability, so it’s best to coordinate with us as early as possible.
Upon approval of your reservation, a 20% deposit of the total stay will be automatically charged to your card on file. For cancellations during major holidays and peak times, a 72-hour notice is required to avoid the loss of the deposit. At all other times, a 48-hour notice is needed for cancellations.
Yes they can! We provide full grooming services for your dog. Please visit our grooming page for more details on the services we offer.
Siblings are more than welcome to share the same kennel space, provided we have one of our larger spaces available for the dates of your reservation. We offer a discount for the second dog sharing the space. However, if you prefer to have your dogs board in separate spaces, the full price will be charged for each individual dog.
Yes, absolutely. Upon your request, dogs boarding together can be separated during feeding times to ensure each receives their individual meals without any interference.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate dogs with a jumping tendency, even with our outdoor play yard fences at six feet high. Our indoor kennel spaces have an open top and might not provide sufficient containment for a jumper. Safety for all guests remains our top priority. We appreciate your understanding in ensuring the well-being of pets at Friendly Paws Littles
