Doggie Daycare

Owner’s Note

It is MANDATORY that all dogs’ Bordetella vaccine (kennel cough) be updated every 6 months. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE ON THIS POLICY

For those pet owners who work long hours, have a busy schedule or just want their dog to socialize, try our Doggie Daycare. Doggie Daycare is a fun day for your dog to run and play with other dogs.  There are plenty of chew toys, room to run and other dogs with which to socialize.

After a fun filled day at Doggie Daycare your dog will be as tired as you are at the end of the day. It will alleviate the pressure and guilty feelings you have with the responsibilities of taking the time out for your dog’s exercise.

All dogs participating in Doggie Daycare must be spayed or neutered.  If your puppy is too young to have the procedure, please call to discuss your options with a member of Friendly Paws staff.

If your dog has not been to Friendly Paws and would like to spend the day with us for the first time, you must call and schedule an appointment. At that point, our Administrative staff with review all required paperwork with the pet parent. All paperwork must be submitted to Friendly Paws no later than 48 hours prior to your scheduled first day.

All guests must be current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella. Shot records must come from a licensed veterinarian or veterinarian practice and must include owner name as well as dog detail.

Why is Doggie Day Care A Good Idea?

  1. Exercise & Socialization
Daycare provides the dog with play times throughout the day to express normal doggie behavior. They have the opportunity to meet and play with new dogs and learn how to properly socialize and interact with other dogs.
  2. Provides Routine
Dogs are creatures of habit and very much like routine. Sending your dog to daycare will help maintain a daily routine of exercise and playtime.
  3. Expert-Supervised Playtime
Often owners themselves are not comfortable monitoring play between dogs. They aren’t familiar with what is appropriate and what is dangerous. A proper daycare has experienced staff that have had experience interpreting dog body language so they can ensure all the dogs are comfortable.
  4. Relief From Boredom and Anxiety
Crates get a bad reputation sometimes from pet owners. They don’t want to leave their dog crated while they work or when they aren’t home. Not utilizing a crate and establishing good house habits can potentially set the dog up for destructive behaviors when alone. To compromise, owners can send the dog to daycare where they will have plenty of stimulation and opportunities to prevent any boredom.
  5. A Tired Dog is a Happy Dog
A dog who has been active and well-cared for throughout the day will naturally get tired. When a dog is tired, they tend to be more content which in turn, makes you, the owner happy as well.
  6. A Good Solution For Busy Owners
Some owners feel guilty for working more than 8 hours and leaving their dog at home. Day care will allow the dog multiple opportunities to potty and be entertained while the owner is away.
